Alma Oil for Hair
Alma oil is used by Indian women to strengthen and nourish their hair. The amla fruit contains high levels of vitamin C and other vitamins and minerals that restore shine and manageability. Massage 1/2

cup of amla oil into dry hair for 20 minutes before going to bed. Saturate your roots and run your fingers down the entire length of your hair. Apply extra oil to the ends of your hair as well. Put a shower cap on your head and go to bed. Wash your hair in the morning with shampoo and conditioner and repeat this treatment once per week. You can find amla at some health food stores or online.

Amla Powder Mask for Skin
Amla powder works similarly to amla oil. Vitamin C nourishes and hydrates the skin which helps to reduce breakouts and improve the overall look and feel of your skin. Indian women use amla for both their hair and skin to get the most benefit from the fruit. They also eat the fruit to nourish their bodies on the inside. Mix 4 tbsp. amla powder in a bowl with 6 tbsp. of water. Apply the amla mask to clean skin and allow the treatment to sink in for 20 minutes. Wash with a mild cleanser. Continue doing this treatment every other week.

Sandalwood Oil for Blemishes
Indian women enjoyed using sandalwood oil to rejuvenate their skin and heal acne blemishes. This oil has natural antiseptic and antibacterial effects. Clean your skin with a mild cleanser and apply a dime sized amount of sandalwood oil to each acne blemish on your face. Massage the oil in a circular motion and leave on overnight. Continue doing this treatment every other day until your acne blemishes heal.

Brushing Sandalwood into your Hair
Indian women also use sandalwood oil to keep their hair healthy. Place a quarter sized amount of oil on your brush before bed. Brush your hair for five minutes to stimulate your scalp and spread the oils throughout your hair. You will notice that your hair has a light sheen. Wash your hair in the morning with shampoo and conditioner. Continue using this treatment twice or more per week.
